If DBT has trouble driving your embosser, e.g., if it is failing to set interpoint mode correctly, then operating system security may be the culprit. That is, DBT may not have been granted permission to set the options in the embosser driver. See this topic on Technical Information for this embosser, for help on setting embosser options and giving DBT the necessary access to drive it.
