Spanish - Reducida Flag of Spain

This DBT template is designed to produce material written in the Spanish language. (Note that this template is not generally used.)

The default math braille code for this template is Spanish/Portuguese Math.

To use this translator for technical material, the math material needs to be enclosed in the DBT math style. This markup is added automatically when importing LaTeX files and some other formats.

This template now selects the standard Spanish translator by default. To use the older translator that supports the contraction system defined by the Mexican braille producer, CIPC (Comite International pro Ciegos), use the language switching feature and table designator: spa-xre to use the older translator.

Partially Contracted Braille

While the Spanish language is generally produced as uncontracted braille, this template produces partially contracted braille.
