Edit: Cut

Keystroke:Ctrl + x

Use Cut to move text from one location in your document to another, even to another document in another application.

You must select the text first, which generally means highlighting it.

Cut removes the highlighted text from its original spot in your document and places it in the clipboard to be inserted elsewhere using Paste.
